Give Your Eyes the Care They Deserve

Eye Disease Management Includes:

  • Comprehensive eye exam

Comprehensive eye exams are critical in catching sight-robbing eye diseases that typically don’t show early symptoms.

  • Diagnostic screening

Certain changes in your eyes can indicate eye conditions. Our optometrists can diagnose the disease and determine the cause of these changes.

  • Treatments and surgeries

We provide a wide range of treatments, including prescription eye drops and other medication. If needed, we'll refer you to the right specialist for eye surgery.

  • After care and follow-up

We provide follow-up exams and after-care treatments to help you manage your symptoms and safeguard your vision.

What Are the 4 Most Common Eye Diseases?

  • Diabetic Retinopathy

If you have diabetes, you should be aware of the risk of diabetic retinopathy. Elevated blood sugar can cause blood vessels in the eye to become inflamed or swell. In the early stages, you may not notice symptoms, but advanced diabetic retinopathy can cause blurred vision or eye inflammation.

    Diabetic retinopathy treatment includes:

    • Prescription medication
    • Laser surgeries
    • Anti-VEGF and steroid injections
    • Vitrectomy
  • Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness and often doesn’t show early symptoms. High pressure inside the eye causes glaucoma, and the purpose of glaucoma management is to reduce intraocular pressure.

    Glaucoma treatments include:

    • Prescription eye drops or medications
    • Laser procedures
    • Filtration surgery
    • Drainage tubes
    • Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS)
  • Cataracts

Cataracts are cloudy formations on the eye lens. They can make your vision blurry and distorted. To restore normal vision, an optometrist will recommend cataract surgery, which involves replacing the cloudy lens with an artificial intraocular lens.

  • Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration, or AMD, occurs when the macula or the central part of the retina deteriorates. This results in blurred and distorted vision.

There are two types of AMD: Dry AMD and Wet AMD.

Although there isn’t a treatment for dry AMD, lifestyle changes and specific supplements can help prevent further vision deterioration.

    Wet AMD treatments include:

    • Photodynamic therapy
    • Anti-VEGF injections
    • Laser photocoagulation

Bree and Jodi are wonderful and wise and I am so grateful for the service they provide.

I’m from out of State & needed to get a rubber nose pad for my sunglasses. Rodney at the front des... k immediately helped & repaired my glasses! Such a great friendly young man, and very professional! Thank you for being open the day before Thanksgiving!

I had a very pleasant experience here. Demitri, a respectful, well-versed young woman, very pleasant... in demeanor, checked me in. During the exam, Dr. O was very gracious to answer my questions comprehensively. He further explained information relevant to my circumstances. Which was helpful to me. Finally, I ended my visit with Rodney, an upbeat, cool cat with groovy glasses. He straightened my sunglasses, and cleaned them for me. I didn't even buy them there! A very likable guy. Without reservation I recommend this business.

They are so professional and kind. I had made a mistake by booking my appointment a little earlier i... n the year than my insurance allowed - but Brie was kindly able to get me some sample contact lenses to get me through AND she texted me to remind me when the correct time came around to order. I chose this practice kind of randomly and I’m so glad I did!

Excellent service and eyewear which includes lenses. Wondered about the warranty though. Manufacture... r of lenses and frames already offer a year warranty so what exactly are you paying for?
- Sep. 07, 2023
The staff was very well knowledgeable, and very friendly from walking into the door to finally meet ... the Doctor.
- Aug. 22, 2023
Great location. The staff is very easy to work with.

We always get good care here. They explain our insurance very well and are up front about all of the... costs. I started coming here after my regular eye doctor refused to give me my prescription, forced me to order contacts through him, and then only gave me six months’ worth instead of year, claiming that “you can actually wear monthlies for two months.” At first I was wary about going to a walk-in type place, but they actually caught a rare condition with my daughter’s eye during a routine check up.

I didn't feel rush by the staff and felt they were very professorial. It was a relaxing appointment... ; and they answered every question I asked them ( which were numerous ); fully and courteously.

Highly recommend! I was visiting from out of town and had an unexpected extended stay. Without havin... g enough contacts on hand, ABBA’s was super friendly, helpful, and quick to help me out with some trial contacts to tie me over with my faxed RX from my hometown eye doctor. So grateful for how accommodating they were!
